Heizsocken und beheizte Handschuhe für Kinder

Heated socks and gloves for children

As of the 2026–27 season ·: A guide from the Bergfritz team.

Cold feet are just as uncomfortable for kids on the slopes as they are for adults, and this often means their day of skiing ends early. That’s why parents keep asking us if heated socks and gloves are also available for kids.

Heated Socks for Kids: Lenz 5.1 Slim, starting at size 31

Yes, there’s a good solution for socks. The Lenz Heat Sock 5.1 Slim Fit is also available in sizes 31–34. It has the same design as the popular 5.1: padded, made with merino wool, and featuring a toe-cap heater above and below the toes. However, it has a slimmer fit and therefore fits well on children’s feet and narrow calves. Sizes smaller than 31 are not available.

Is it worth it for a child?

At first glance, a set of heated socks for a child seems expensive because they’ll outgrow them. But most of the price is in the rechargeable batteries, and you’ll use them for many years. When your child outgrows the socks, you simply buy a new pair in the next size, for example, 35–38. The socks are also available individually without a battery, which is significantly cheaper than the set. The batteries fit all Lenz heated socks and, later on, your own as well.

When it comes to batteries, we recommend the rcB 2000 even for children. It provides the longest heating time, and since you’ll be using the batteries for many years, the more powerful one is worth the investment. You’ll hardly notice the difference in weight compared to the rcB 1400 when you’re on your feet. Learn more in “Lenz Batteries Explained.”

Our Tip for Kids

Start at the lowest setting and ask if it feels comfortable. Children don’t always say on their own when they’re getting too warm. The right size is also important here: The sock should be wrinkle-free and fit snugly. We show you how to put on the socks and connect the batteries in “Lenz Heated Socks: First Steps.”

What about heated gloves for kids?

Unfortunately, we don't have anything here. Neither Lenz, Snowlife, nor Bergfritz offers heated gloves in children's sizes. The smallest size is XS, and that usually fits teenagers aged 13 or 14 and up. In that case, it’s worth taking a look at our heated gloves for women, which are available starting at size XS.
