Heated socks from Bergfritz™
Bergfritz is the Swiss specialist for heated winter outdoor textile equipment. In addition to selling branded products such as Lenz and Snowlife, the Bergfritz online store naturally also prominently features products from the company's own brand Bergfritz™.
We recommend Bergfritz heated socks and, of course, Bergfritz gloves and our combination set for every active winter sports enthusiast looking for a great solution for the cold Swiss mountain winter.
The heated Bergfritz™ products offer a pleasant wearing comfort and solve your cold problem.
Our brands: Bergfritz™ and Lenz
In addition to Bergfritz™ heated socks, we also offer the premum brand Lenz. We have thus created a very attractive range for winter sports enthusiasts and offer the ideal selection in every price category.
With Lenz heating socks, innovative technology and state-of-the-art workmanship ensure a unique foot experience. The Bergfritz team particularly likes the easy attachment of the batteries via the push-button system or the control via cell phone (Bluetooth). The choice of materials (with a high proportion of merino in some cases) also clearly shows that Lenz wants to establish itself as the market leader in the heated sock sector and will not compromise.
With the Lenz heated socks app, you can easily set the heat level via smartphone. It also gives you an overview of the current charge status of your lithium pack. The interval function extends the heating time.
The heated socks from Lenz in detail
Lenz heated socks are generally very popular with demanding athletes. They are used in both recreational and professional sports.
The functional socks from Lenz have an integrated (sewn-in) heating element of the latest generation. This means that the toe area is also completely enclosed. The mix of high-quality materials deserves special mention. Primarily the use of merino wool supports optimum moisture transportation. Cleverly placed padding and protectors in exposed areas ensure optimum comfort. This also applies to the elastic ring bandages in the foot area.
Customers appreciate the easy attachment of the battery packs via Lenz's own press stud system on the waistband of the heating socks.
The Heat Sock 4.0 model is also very popular with employees who work outside in winter and is considered an entry-level model.
The hit: the combination offer from Bergfritz™
The heated socks from Bergfritz™are available in combination with a heated Bergfritz™ glove for just CHF 279.90.

Which heating socks does Bergfritz recommend for skiing?
The classic Lenz heating sock for skiing is the 5.1 model.
The Lenz 5.1 is also available in a SLIM version. We recommend the SLIM version for men and women with a rather narrow footbed.
If you have adapted or very tight-fitting ski boots, the 6.0 model may also be a good alternative for you. Thanks to the high proportion of merino wool, they are extremely thin in volume.
What are the special features of the Lenz 6.1? Is it the latest model?
Customers often want to buy the Lenz 6.1 because they think it's the latest and greatest model.
In reality, the 6.1 is an alternative model with a slightly different area of application.
The Lenz 6.1 is a compression sock. We recommend these to ambitious athletes. This pair of socks is also often worn in the Ski World Cup and in ski racing.
Compression socks such as the Lenz 6.1 exert a higher ambient pressure on the muscles. The slight pressure exerted on the musclesby the sports compression socks causes the muscles surrounding the artery to relax because they have to exert less pressure themselves. These socks can therefore also be slightly performance-enhancing.
Which heating socks does Bergfritz recommend for riding, hunting or walking your beloved four-legged friend?
The slightly cheaper entry-level model 4.1 from Lenz is the most popular. The separately available extension cable is ideal for high riding boots. The battery can then be carried in a jacket pocket, for example.
Why are the heating socks tight?
To ensure perfect heating performance and a cozy, warm feeling, the heating socks should fit snugly. This is particularly important in ski boots so that there are no annoying creases in the socks.
I like to wear the socks a little wider. What do you think?
In ski boots, it's important to wear tight-fitting socks. For other sports or activities and depending on the footwear, this is sometimes less important. We recommend the Lenz 4.1 (but this is also rather tight-fitting). However, the different knitting pattern makes the 4.1 feel a little wider.
The Bergfritz™ heated socks also have a comfort cut.
Which Lenz size is right for me?
Choose the size that you actually wear. The socks also have elastane in the footbed for the length and therefore adapt to your individual foot shape and length.
In the rare case that you do need a larger or smaller version, it is very easy to exchange them with us. Please note the following information:
We are happy if you decide on a size when you place your order and try it on carefully when you receive it. If the size does not fit after all, send us a short e-mail and let us know which size you would like to have.
You will then receive the desired size the next working day, along with a prepaid return label for the unsuitable item. You can then return the exchange item to the post office free of charge.
Lenz heated socks have a merino wool content. Is that really an advantage?
Yes, merino wool has a number of useful advantages:
- The wool is very cuddly, does not scratch and has many advantages, especially for functional underwear
- Insulates particularly well against the cold
- Transports moisture
- Merino wool is particularly light
Which Lenz battery is right for me? Lenz Heat Pack 2.0, rcB1400 or rcB2000?
Lenz offers its batteries in three performance levels: Lenz Heat Pack 2.0, rcB1400 and rcB2000. The rcB2000 has around 30% more power than the rcB1400.
For a normal day's skiing with a nice lunch in a warm mountain restaurant, the rcB1400 is always good enough.
For long days of skiing, for touring or even if there are only limited charging options for multi-day tours, we strongly recommend the rcB2000 battery.
Compared to the already high total price of the Lenz heating socks, the extra charge for the rcB2000 is relatively manageable. We think this is often a good investment, because this battery should continue to provide service for years to come.
Should I buy the Heat Pack 2.0 without Bluetooth?
The Lenz Heat Pack 2.0 is without Bluetooth. With the Bluetooth function on the other battery models, you can monitor and control the temperature of your heated socks at any time via an app on your cell phone.
At Bergfritz, we thought for a long time that the app was just another funny marketing gimmick and that it would hardly bring any benefits in practice. Nobody is going to control the temperature on the chairlift via their cell phone. But far from it - at the latest when we were playing cards in the mountain restaurant, we realized how convenient it can be to control the temperature via cell phone. Conclusion: Bluetooth is not necessary - but it can be a nice gadget.
Can I wash Lenz and Bergfritz™ heated socks?
Yes, you can easily wash your socks (without the battery) in the washing bag provided at 30°C on a gentle cycle. You should then air dry the socks.
Hand washing is not suitable as the heating elements can be damaged.
You can find the official washing instructions from Lenz here.
How does the Lenz Heat app work and what do I need to know?
If you opt for the Bluetooth battery(rcB1400 with Bluetooth or rcB2000with Bluetooth), you can also control the heating function via your smartphone.
Are Lenz heating socks worth the money?
In the end, everyone has to decide for themselves.
Lenz heated socks are expensive. But honestly: you really do get a durable and great product.
Otherwise, our Bergfritz™ heated socks are also a good and clearly cheaper alternative for you. This is a real option, especially for occasional athletes or those who simply get cold often.
